All those places that had things happening in the 1st age are still there and I hope we get to see them in the series!
Also, I can't help but wonder how they're gonna handle the whole, 'Sauron has control over the 3 elven rings but he never touched them' thing too. I mean, I always thought the rings of power had some of Sauron's essence, like, baked into them, you know?
I don't even want to START on my feelings about the blatant racism that has always infused this fandom (just looking at the titles of stuff on youtube gets my blood boiling).
Btw, anyone know if there's a community for the tv series hear on dreamwidth?
